As a casual teacher in our Catholic schools, you will be vital in nurturing the comprehensive development of each student. Our educators are key to cultivating an atmosphere of curiosity, creativity, and excellence.

Prior to the submission of an expression of interest for the casual workforce, it is important that you have certified copies the following prepared : 

  • Qualifications / transcripts

  • Passport, drivers license

  • Statements of service from any teaching position

  • Details of referees that are a direct line manager

Submissions

From the submission of this expression of interest, if shortlisted, the Leader of Casual Teacher Development and Engagement will be in contact with you and the People and Culture Team will guide you through the pre-employment process which will include checks regarding:  NESA accreditation,  Working with Children Check,  National Criminal Check, as well as other compliance checks.

  • Commitment to Catholic Education: Demonstrate a clear understanding and personal commitment to Catholic Education, actively supporting the Catholic ethos and culture of the school.

  • Program Planning and Assessment: Ability to plan and prepare contemporary teaching programs and assessments that meet diverse student needs and learning styles, promoting their attainment of potential.

  • Utilisation of Data: Demonstrated ability to effectively use assessment and school data to enhance educational outcomes.

  • Collaborative Work: Proven experience working collaboratively with school staff and the wider community to establish productive partnerships and achieve educational goals.

  • Innovation and Improvement: Show an innovative and agile mindset that contributes to a culture of continuous improvement within the school environment.

Qualifications

  • Qualifications as a four-year trained teacher.

  • Active NESA Accreditation.

  • Current paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) number.
